Ghanaian TikTok personality Asantewaa has broken her silence on the collapse of her relationship with social media personality AMG Armani, insisting that contrary to widespread speculation, she was the one who ended the relationship.
The popular content creator has also disclosed that differences over marriage became a major issue between them, claiming that while Armani wanted their relationship to progress towards marriage, she did not share that ambition and no longer had romantic feelings for him.
Asantewaa addressed the controversy during a TikTok Live session after weeks of public speculation surrounding the breakup and claims about who walked away from the relationship.
According to her, one of the biggest misconceptions surrounding their separation was the suggestion that Armani had dumped her.
“The little correction I want to make is that I broke up with Armani and not the other way round,” she stated.
Her declaration appears intended to settle questions that have followed the pair since reports of their separation emerged, particularly after videos and discussions on social media suggested Asantewaa had been emotionally affected by the breakup.
Armani Wanted Marriage
Beyond establishing who she says ended the relationship, Asantewaa disclosed that the two appeared to have reached different positions regarding their future together.
She rejected suggestions that she was desperate to marry Armani, claiming instead that it was her former partner who had a stronger interest in marriage.
“Who said I have marriage in mind? Armani is very much interested in marriage, but I’m not,” she said.
Asantewaa went further by claiming that while Armani continued to have feelings for her, her own feelings towards him had changed.
“He loves me, but I don’t love him anymore. He wants to see me so bad,” she claimed.
Despite ending the relationship, the TikTok personality maintained that she had treated Armani well during their time together and was confident about what she brought into the relationship.
“I can hit my chest and let you know that he will tell you I’m the best he has ever met,” she stated.
Her comments provide her side of a breakup that has generated considerable attention among followers of the two personalities on social media.
‘I Cried, But Not Because A Man Left Me’
Asantewaa also addressed another controversial aspect of the breakup—the reports that she had been seen crying following their separation.
Some social media users had interpreted her emotional state as evidence that Armani had ended the relationship and left her heartbroken.
Asantewaa admitted that she had cried but rejected the interpretation attached to it.
“I heard some people saying I came to cry because my man broke up with me. Yes, I will cry because I’m a human being, but not because a man has left me,” she explained.
She did not deny experiencing emotions during the period but maintained that those emotions should not be used as evidence that Armani had walked away from her.
‘A Man Can’t Leave Me; I’m A Big Asset’
The TikTok personality subsequently made another emphatic statement about perception of herself and what she believes she contributes to relationships.
“A man can’t leave me; I’m a big asset. I can’t be a liability that someone would want to run away from,” Asantewaa said.
The statement has become another talking point surrounding the breakup, with reactions divided among social media users.
While some followers have praised her confidence and willingness to publicly present her version of events, others have questioned some of the claims she made during the Live session.
Breakup Keeps Social Media Talking
Asantewaa and AMG Armani’s relationship had attracted considerable attention online before reports emerged that they had gone their separate ways.
Their separation subsequently became the subject of speculation, commentary and competing narratives on social media, particularly concerning what caused the breakup and who actually initiated it.
Asantewaa’s latest intervention therefore represents an attempt to establish her version of events after weeks of speculation.
According to her account, Armani did not abandon her; rather, she decided she no longer wanted the relationship despite his continuing interest in her and his alleged desire to take their relationship towards marriage.
The TikTok star has also sought to separate her emotional reaction during the period from claims that she was devastated because she had been dumped.
