LilWin Reveals DNA Child He Raised For 10 Years Is Not His

Ghanaian comic actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, has revealed that a DNA test recently confirmed that one of the children he had raised for nearly a decade is not his biological child.

The Kumawood star made the disclosure during a live broadcast on TikTok, where he spoke openly about the personal experience and how he dealt with the emotional discovery.

According to the actor, he had raised the child for about 10 years, believing the child was his, before the truth eventually emerged after a DNA test was conducted.
Despite the revelation, LilWin said he handled the situation calmly and chose not to react with anger.

“Among my children, there is one I believed was mine for almost ten years, but the child is not actually mine,” he disclosed during the live session.

The actor explained that he initially considered making the matter public by sharing the DNA test results and photographs of the child. However, fellow Kumawood actor Kwame Gee advised him against taking that step.

Following the advice, LilWin decided to keep the child’s identity private while only discussing the experience as a lesson for others who might face similar circumstances.

“When we finally did the test and realised the child was not mine, I did not become angry or react negatively,” he said.
According to him, many people unknowingly end up caring for children who are not biologically theirs, and such situations should be handled with maturity.

“The DNA issue is something that truly happened to me. If anyone finds themselves in a similar situation, I would advise them not to get angry. At the end of the day, many of us end up taking care of children who are not biologically ours in one way or another,” he stated.

The actor further revealed that he had long harboured doubts about the child’s paternity, which made it easier for him to accept the outcome of the DNA test.

“To be honest, I had my doubts from the beginning that the child might not be mine, so when the results came out it did not shock me,” he added.

LilWin also pointed out that caring for children in need is something he already does through his personal initiatives. He disclosed that he runs a school where he supports and cares for children from disadvantaged backgrounds as well as widows.

However, the actor criticised situations where a woman knowingly allows a man to raise a child that is not biologically his without disclosing the truth.

“The only problem I have is when a woman knows the child does not belong to a particular man, yet she still allows him to take full responsibility and later creates trouble for him,” he said.
