President John Dramani Mahama has returned to Ghana after attending two significant international events: the Munich Security Conference in Germany and the 38th African Union Heads of State and Government Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Upon arrival at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra, the President was warmly received by Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang who has been missing in public for sometime now.
During his visit to Germany, President Mahama played a key role at the Munich Security Conference, leading a side event on “Deepening Global Fragmentation: Implications for Africa’s Peace and Security”.
As the Chairperson of the Tana Forum, Mahama’s participation underscored Ghana’s commitment to addressing global security challenges.
He also served as a panellist during the Leaders Segment, where he shared his insights on “Towards a Stronger United Nations in a Fragmented World.”
The Munich Security Conference brought together hundreds of high-profile participants, including Heads of State and Government, Ministers of Defence and foreign affairs, and leading figures from academia, business, and civil society.

President Mahama took advantage of this platform to engage in bilateral meetings with heads of state and representatives from various international organisations.
Following his engagement in Germany, President Mahama proceeded to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for the 38th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union.
He was accompanied to the Munich Security Conference by a delegation from the Presidency.
