After weeks of intense public scrutiny, emotional disclosures, and conflicting narratives, Ghanaian media personality Afua Asantewaa and her husband Kofi Owusu Aduonum appear to have reconciled, marking a dramatic turnaround in one of the country’s most talked-about celebrity marital sagas in recent past.
The couple confirmed their reunion on April 12, 2026, during a live interview on United Showbiz on UTV, where they presented a united front and declared that their relationship is back on track after weeks of uncertainty.
From Admiration To Public Breakdown
Afua Asantewaa and Kofi Aduonum, who got married in 2017 and share three daughters, had long been admired as a strong couple, particularly during Asantewaa’s rise to fame through her Guinness World Record sing-a-thon attempt in 2023.
During that period, Aduonum was widely praised for publicly supporting his wife and standing firmly by her side.
However, beneath the public admiration, cracks in the marriage began to surface. The situation escalated in late March 2026 when Asantewaa revealed during a TikTok Live session that they were separated, citing emotional challenges and long-distance strain following her relocation to Canada.
Her remarks triggered widespread debate, further complicated by responses from family members—including a brother-in-law who defended Aduonum—and counter-allegations about financial struggles and support within the marriage.

Speaking during the television interview, Aduonum stated emphatically that all differences between them have been resolved, indicating that the couple has put their disagreements behind them.

In a surprising twist, Aduonum also hinted at new creative projects involving his wife, revealing that Asantewaa is preparing to release a new song.
He further suggested a possible collaboration with gospel artiste Empress Gifty, signalling a renewed focus on her career and personal growth.
