2 Suspects Grabbed With 519 Compressed Parcels Of Wee

The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in possession of substances suspected to be Indian hemp at Gomoa Nyanyano in the Central Region.

The suspects, Eric Nkyeke and Francis Klu, aged 30 and 28 respectively, were apprehended with 519 pieces of compressed parcels of the suspected substance by the Nyanyano District Police patrol on August 11, 2025, at about 7:40 am.

The Arrest

The suspects were arrested while offloading the substances from a Toyota Hilux pick-up truck with the registration number GS-6849-21.

The vehicle has been impounded, and the suspects are currently in Police custody, assisting with investigations

Police Commitment

The Regional Police Command has reaffirmed its commitment to fighting drug-related crimes and ensuring the safety of communities.

The command has warned all individuals involved in such crimes to desist or face the full rigours of the law if arrested.

Public Vigilance

The Central East Police Command urges members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to drugs or crime to the Police.
