The National Recreation and Wellness Programme (NaRWP) has once again demonstrated its commitment to promoting active living, community wellness, and cultural pride through its successful organization of the Hogbetsotso Games and Wellness Activities.
As part of the 2025 Hogbetsotso Festival celebrations, NaRWP collaborated with the Anlo Dukor Council and Jubilee Radio of Keta to bring hundredsof residents and visitors together for a fun-filled weekend of recreation and wellness activities.
The festivities kicked off on Friday, October 31, 2025, with a Health and Recreation Day held at the Aborigines Beach and Vodza.
Participants enjoyed a range of activities, including a Keep-Fit Walk, Aerobics Session, Health Screening, Table Soccer, Throw and Win, and Traditional Games such as Oware, Ludo, Draft, and Cards.

The Inter-Community Regatta and River Volleyball competitions at Vodza showcased teamwork and strength, highlighting the community’s deep connection to water-based recreation.
The Para-Boxing Exhibition at Anlo Station was a thrilling highlight of the event, promoting inclusion and empowerment for persons with disabilities through sport.
The free health screening conducted during the day included blood pressure checks, wellness education, and medical consultations, emphasizing the importance of preventive health and active living.
During the Grand Durbar at Anloga, NaRWP presented branded hand fans as souvenirs to dignitaries and special guests.
The gesture reflected NaRWP’s commitment to promoting comfort, wellness, and community engagement, providing relief from the intense afternoon heat.
