In a bold and inspiring move that blends wellness with national development, Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, is spearheading a country-wide campaign to promote healthy living through his “Walk With Julius” initiative—an evolving platform that is fast becoming a symbol of civic unity and physical well-being.

The latest installment of the walk took place on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Trassaco Phase 2 in Accra, attracting an influential gathering of policymakers, sports personalities, media professionals, and public health advocates.

Among the notable participants were Samson Deen, President of the Ghana Paralympic Committee; former Black Stars coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor; veteran journalist Dan Kwaku Yeboah; and respected broadcasters including King Eben, Nathaniel Attoh, Fentuo Tahiru, and Dr. Frank Owusu Ansah from Kessben TV/FM.

The event, which saw participants cover several kilometers, was more than a casual morning walk. It served as a symbol of collective responsibility and an active call for national wellness.

Speaking during the event, Debrah emphasized the deeper philosophy behind the initiative:

“A strong nation begins with a healthy people. When we walk together, we build endurance, unity, awareness—and ultimately a better future.”

From a Private Practice to a National Mission

“Walk With Julius” began as a personal lifestyle practice but has steadily transformed into a national wellness crusade.

The campaign is rooted in the understanding that promoting regular physical activity can significantly reduce preventable diseases, improve quality of life, and reduce national healthcare costs.

Debrah has made it clear that this initiative is not about him—it is about the future of Ghana.

“If every Ghanaian walked just 15 kilometers a week, we wouldn’t only feel better—we’d save millions in national healthcare expenditure,” he noted, citing the long-term economic benefits of preventative healthcare.
