AMG Global Travel, one of the leading fully indigenous Hajj and Umrah service companies, has lifted the country’s profile on the global stage after receiving the prestigious Green Category Award at the 2025 International Hajj and Umrah Conference and Exhibition in Saudi Arabia.
The event, held from 9th to 12th November 2025, brought together global stakeholders, regulators, and service providers within the pilgrimage industry.
The award, presented under the supervision of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, recognizes institutions that demonstrate exceptional compliance with service standards, safety, logistics efficiency, and customer care throughout the pilgrimage seasons.
For AMG Global Travel, the honour reflects years of steady growth, professional advancement, and a commitment to improving Ghana’s pilgrimage management systems.
Over the years, the Ghanaian-owned company has distinguished itself as a reliable facilitator for thousands of Ghanaians undertaking the Umrah and Hajj journeys.
Its performance during the 2025 Umrah season drew particular praise from Saudi partner institutions such as Mohammed Hijazi Company and Ta’if Umrah Company, which commended AMG’s operational discipline, smooth coordination, and dedication to providing a stress-free spiritual experience for pilgrims.
The achievement also underscores AMG Global Travel’s expanding operational capacity. Beyond serving Ghanaian pilgrims, the company has begun making provisions to support foreign residents in Ghana with valid residency permits who intend to embark on the upcoming Ramadan Umrah.
This strategic expansion reflects changing trends in the religious travel landscape, where demand for organized and reliable pilgrimage services continues to rise.
In preparation for the 2026 Ramadan Umrah season, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Hajj Abdel-Manan Abdel-Rahman, has signed new agreements with hospitality partners in Makkah and Madinah, securing improved accommodation packages for pilgrims.
The move is part of AMG’s broader strategy aimed at strengthening value, enhancing comfort, and upholding international best practices in the delivery of pilgrimage services.
The recognition from Saudi Arabia further positions AMG Global Travel as a competitive force within West Africa’s Hajj and Umrah industry—an industry that has increasingly emphasized compliance, digitization, and quality assurance under new Saudi regulations.
According to the company’s Operations Manager, Abdallah Suleiman, the award will serve as motivation for the team to deepen its commitment to excellence and continue building trust among pilgrims who rely on the institution for one of the most significant journeys of their lives.
