Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 950th career goal, helping Al Nassr to secure a 2-0 victory over Al Hazm in the Saudi Pro League.
The win extends Al Nassr’s perfect start to the season, with the team sitting three points ahead of Al Taawoun in the league standings.
Ronaldo’s Quest for 1,000 Goals
Ronaldo’s goal was his sixth of the league campaign, and he has now scored in each of his last four outings for Al Nassr.
The Portugal international is inching closer to his target of 1,000 career goals.
When asked about his ambitions, Ronaldo said, “People, especially my family, say: ‘It’s time for you to stop. You’ve done everything. Why do you want to score a thousand goals?’ But I don’t think so. I think I’m still producing good things, I’m helping my club and the national team, and why not keep going?”
Al Nassr’s Performance
Al Nassr’s victory was sealed by João Félix’s header in the 25th minute, followed by Ronaldo’s close-range strike two minutes from time.
