The Ministry of Finance has announced a 10% across-the-board salary increase for public service institutions on the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).
This decision follows the conclusion of negotiations on the 2025 Single Spine base pay and the payrise is effective January 1, 2025.
The Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) had previously communicated with the Ministry of Finance regarding the implementation of the 2025 Single Spine base pay.
In a letter dated February 20, 2025, FWSC provided guidelines for the implementation of the new salary structure.
The Ministry of Finance has now approved the salary structure, incorporating the 10% salary increase.
Implementation and Distribution
The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department has been tasked with implementing the salary increase.
The Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has directed that effect be given to the salary adjustment.
