Ghana became the centre of an international celebrity celebration on Friday, August 21, 2026, as American marketing executive and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma “Boz” Saint John officially married her partner, Keely Watson, in a lavish traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony in Accra.
The high-profile celebration brought together a mixture of Ghanaian, American and Nigerian entertainment personalities, with the ceremony showcasing Ghanaian culture through traditional customs, elaborate décor and the prominent use of Kente.
The wedding was held at the residence of former Ghanaian President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, adding another layer of prominence to an already star-studded occasion.
For Saint John, the ceremony represented more than simply a celebrity wedding. Born to Ghanaian parents, she has maintained a strong connection to Ghana throughout her life and became a Ghanaian citizen in 2022.
Her decision to celebrate such a major personal milestone through a traditional Ghanaian ceremony therefore offered a powerful display of her connection to her heritage.
Watson has also established a formal connection with Ghana, becoming a Ghanaian citizen in 2024.
The couple’s wedding consequently blended their personal relationship with a celebration of Ghanaian identity and culture, creating an occasion that attracted significant attention both locally and internationally.

The ceremony attracted several familiar faces from the international entertainment industry.

Several cast members from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills also travelled to Ghana to celebrate with Saint John.
Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Sutton Stracke and Kathy Hilton were among the reality television stars spotted in Accra ahead of the ceremony.

A second celebration is expected to take place in Los Angeles in November 2026, giving the couple an opportunity to celebrate with friends and family in the United States as well.
The decision to hold celebrations in both Ghana and Los Angeles reflects the couple’s connections to two different cultural and geographical worlds.
Ghana provides the setting for the traditional ceremony and the celebration of Saint John’s heritage, while Los Angeles will host the second chapter of the wedding festivities.
Bozoma Saint John’s Ghana connection
Saint John’s relationship with Ghana has been well documented throughout her public career.
Born to Ghanaian parents, she has frequently spoken about her connection to the country and has maintained ties to Ghana despite building a highly successful career internationally.
Her Ghanaian citizenship, obtained in 2022, further formalised that connection.
Watson’s decision to become a Ghanaian citizen two years later also strengthened the couple’s shared ties to the country.
That background made Accra a particularly meaningful location for their wedding.
