My Kidney Still Loves Me- Bobrisky Says After Years Of Cosmetic Procedures

BY GRACE ZIGAH

Nigerian social media personality Bobrisky has turned attention to kidney health after undergoing a recent medical assessment, revealing that his estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was 85.

The influencer shared the result with his followers on Instagram, expressing relief over the outcome while using humour to reflect on the numerous cosmetic procedures he has undergone over the years.

Bobrisky said the result reassured him that his kidney was functioning well, joking that his kidney had remained loyal to him despite the medical procedures he had undergone.

“When I heard the result of my eGFR, my kidney function, I was so happy! My eGFR was 85, so I guess my kidney loves me so much.”

The disclosure quickly became a talking point because of Bobrisky’s history of openly discussing his appearance and the cosmetic procedures he has undergone.

Rather than presenting the result as a routine medical update, Bobrisky connected it to his long-running journey of cosmetic transformation.

He joked about having undergone several procedures in pursuit of his desired appearance and expressed surprise that his kidney function remained at the reported level.

“After all the times I’ve gone under the knife to look this beautiful, my kidney is still working perfectly!”

The remark brought the conversation around his appearance and cosmetic procedures into his latest health update, but Bobrisky also used the opportunity to encourage his followers to take their own health seriously.

Beyond celebrating his own test result, the social media personality urged his followers not to assume that they are healthy simply because they feel well.

He specifically drew attention to kidney-function testing, saying some people may have low eGFR readings without knowing their health status.

“Some of you don’t even know your eGFR or your kidney function status. Some people’s eGFR is already below 60, and they don’t even know it.”

He subsequently encouraged his followers to make regular medical check-ups part of their routine.

“That’s why regular check-ups are so important. Please, go and check yourself!”

His comments shifted the focus from his personal medical result to a broader message about awareness and preventive health checks.

Bobrisky’s disclosure generated mixed reactions online. While some followers welcomed the health update and supported his call for regular medical checks, others used the opportunity to comment on his lifestyle and cosmetic choices.

One social media user, @saintdave01, made a critical remark about Bobrisky’s cosmetic procedures, while another user, @Chioma, urged him to be thankful.

Others simply welcomed the news that his reported kidney-function result had been reassuring.
