A delegation from the NPP Loyal Ladies, a women-focused political advocacy group aligned with Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP), has undertaken a high-level international engagement in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, aimed at strengthening global partnerships and promoting women’s leadership in governance.
The visit, which forms part of the group’s broader strategy to build cross-border alliances and expose its members to global best practices, was led by Elizabeth Adwubi Amponsah on behalf of the organisation’s president, Susan Amo.
She was joined by Efia Asare, representing the Director of Diaspora, Karen Kemetse, as well as other members including Ohemaa Love Gyamfi, Amanda Obeng, and media personality Kofi Taylor.

During their stay in Malaysia, the delegation engaged with Anfaal Saari, a prominent political figure serving as a Selangor State Executive Councillor and Deputy Women Chief of Parti Amanah Negara (AMANAH).
The meeting also involved representatives from Wanita Berdaya Selangor, a state-backed institution known for advancing women’s socio-economic development.
Discussions between the two sides focused on deepening collaboration in areas such as women’s political participation, grassroots mobilisation, and social welfare systems.
Participants also exchanged ideas on how innovation and technology can be leveraged to enhance political organisation and expand opportunities for women in leadership.
The engagement reflects a growing trend among Ghanaian political groups to seek international exposure and partnerships, particularly in advancing gender inclusion.
Over the years, women’s participation in the political space has remained a critical issue, with various organisations—including the NPP Loyal Ladies—working to bridge the gap through mentorship, advocacy, and capacity-building initiatives.
Members of the Ghanaian delegation described the meeting as impactful, noting that it provided practical insights into governance and community-driven development.

They highlighted lessons drawn from Malaysia’s structured approach to empowering women at the grassroots level, particularly through programmes implemented by Wanita Berdaya Selangor, which have contributed to improving livelihoods and expanding economic opportunities for women.
The delegation emphasised that the visit was not merely ceremonial but a strategic learning experience aimed at strengthening leadership capacity among young women in Ghana.
They expressed optimism that the networks established and knowledge acquired would translate into tangible initiatives back home.
