The Ghana Police Service has disrupted a suspected organised cybercrime and kidnapping operation at Devtraco Estate, leading to the arrest of two suspects and the rescue of 10 victims in an intelligence-led operation.

The suspects, identified as Robinson Endurance and Derrick Glory, were arrested on February 2, 2026, following actionable intelligence indicating that individuals were being illegally detained and forced to participate in online fraud activities.

According to a situation report from the Okpoi-Gono District Police Command, the mission was conducted on the direct instructions of the Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno, underscoring the high-level priority placed on dismantling cybercrime syndicates operating across the country.

A joint security task force drawn from the Special Operations Area (SOA) and the Okpoi-Gono District Headquarters, and led by Grace Owusua Gyan, executed the intelligence-driven operation.

The team stormed the hideout after receiving credible information about the suspects’ activities, successfully apprehending both individuals without resistance.

Police confirmed that multiple victims were discovered at the location and safely rescued. Investigators believe the victims were being coerced into engaging in cyber fraud schemes under illegal detention.

The rescued individuals were immediately secured and placed under police protection while arrangements were made for their care and support.

During the operation, officers recovered several electronic devices believed to have been used in the execution of cybercrime activities.

The exhibits include 19 laptop computers, 20 mobile phones, and two WiFi routers. Police sources say all recovered devices are undergoing forensic examination to help establish the full extent of the criminal network and identify possible collaborators.

The Ghana Police Service has reaffirmed its commitment to fighting kidnapping, cyber fraud, and organised crime, stating that similar intelligence-led operations will continue across Tema and other parts of the country.
