A marriage dispute involving two Ghanaian religious figures has sparked debate on social media after a pastor identified as Prophet Kwadwo reportedly demanded GH₵40,000 from his former wife, Prophetess Happy, following the collapse of their marriage less than a month after their wedding.

According to reports, Prophet Kwadwo claims he took a loan of GH₵30,000 to finance the wedding ceremony and other related expenses but allegedly received no financial support from his partner during the process.

The pastor is therefore demanding compensation from his former wife following the abrupt end of the union, insisting that he suffered financial losses as a result of the failed marriage.

However, Prophetess Happy is also reportedly seeking compensation of her own.

According to claims circulating in the dispute, she argues that the relationship involved marital intimacy and emotional commitment during the short-lived marriage.

The development has generated widespread public reactions, with many social media users expressing surprise that two individuals regarded as religious leaders could become involved in such a public marital and financial disagreement shortly after their wedding.

Marriage and divorce disputes involving compensation claims are not entirely new in Ghana, especially where one party alleges financial loss or emotional distress after investing heavily in wedding ceremonies and customary rites.

However, the involvement of two prophets has drawn even greater public attention due to expectations that religious leaders should exemplify reconciliation and moral guidance.

Neither party has publicly disclosed whether the matter has been formally referred to a court or traditional authority for settlement.
