Sammy Gyamfi Under Agradaa’s Juju- NDC

By Daniel Bampoe

A Communicator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fame Derek Djisam, has raised eyebrows with a startling claim suggesting that embattled party National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, may have been under the influence of spiritual manipulation during a widely circulated encounter with controversial evangelist and self-styled spiritualist, Evangelist Patricia Asiedu, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.

The incident, which occurred during a recent appearance on Agradaa’s program, has sparked intense conversation on social media and within political circles after videos showed Sammy Gyamfi handing over an undisclosed sum of money to Agradaa, with some viewers alleging it appeared involuntary or out of character.

In a Facebook post, Djisam cautioned NDC members against hastily condemning Sammy Gyamfi, claiming he might have been a victim of what he described as “black magic” or spiritual coercion.

“Fellow comrades, please let’s tread cautiously in condemning our own Sammy Gyamfi,” he wrote. “I never believed in black magic until I watched the video over and over again.”

Djisam implied that Agradaa may have used spiritual means to manipulate Gyamfi, referencing what he called a spell-filled exchange.

He described the scene in which Agradaa allegedly “commanded” Gyamfi to give her money and “snatched” the rest without resistance.

“The gentleman was a victim of black magic/spells from a witch filled with bad energy #SIKA_GARI,” Djisam asserted, using a popular Ghanaian term associated with money rituals.

The NDC official’s comments have stirred debate online, with some supporters expressing concern over spiritual influences in political engagements, while others dismissed the claims as superstitious and damaging to the party’s credibility.

Background

Sammy Gyamfi, known for his fiery rhetoric and legal acumen, has served as the Communications Officer of the NDC since 2018.

He is a vocal critic of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and a key figure in articulating the NDC’s stance on national issues.

Nana Agradaa, on the other hand, is a controversial figure with a history of legal troubles and public outcry over her past involvement in alleged spiritual scams, including the infamous “Sika Gari” money-doubling scheme.

Once operating as a traditional priestess, Agradaa rebranded as a Christian evangelist after a much-publicized conversion.

Her programs continue to draw mixed reactions, with critics questioning the authenticity of her transformation and the influence she wields over followers.

The video in question has since gone viral, prompting both ridicule and concern, with some questioning why a senior NDC figure would engage with Agradaa on such public terms.

Others are calling for internal investigations into the incident to determine whether there was any impropriety or manipulation involved.

While the NDC leadership has not officially commented on the matter, Djisam’s remarks suggest an undercurrent of unease within the party ranks. “Let’s be careful when dealing with such characters in our daily moves,” he warned, emphasizing the perceived threat posed by figures like Agradaa.
