From the early hours of Friday, a wave of community-focused activities swept across Abuakwa South as the Member of Parliament, Kingsley Agyemang, led a series of Easter engagements centered on healthcare, youth development, and direct interaction with constituents.
The Easter programme began in Kyebi with a free health screening exercise, where hundreds of residents gathered to check their health status, receive medical advice, and access basic healthcare services.

The initiative underscored a growing emphasis on preventive healthcare within the constituency, reflecting a leadership approach that prioritises not only policy direction but also the immediate well-being of the people.
Following the screening, Dr. Agyemang moved across various zones within the constituency, holding interactive sessions dubbed “Time with the MP (Pae mu ka)” in Asiakwa, Kyebi, and Apedwa.
These engagements provided a platform for constituents to directly share concerns, offer suggestions, and engage in open dialogue with their representative.

The sessions reinforced participatory governance and strengthened the relationship between leadership and the grassroots.
Activities continued on Saturday with a community health walk in Kyebi, drawing residents from different backgrounds to promote physical fitness, unity, and healthy living.
The event created a vibrant atmosphere, symbolising a constituency actively embracing wellness and collective progress.
The focus then shifted to youth empowerment through a football gala held across Adukrom, Ahwenease, and Asafo.
The competition brought together young people from various communities, fostering talent, teamwork, and social cohesion. In a move to encourage participation and sustain interest in sports, all teams received prizes, including cash rewards, jerseys, and footballs—ensuring that every participant felt recognised and motivated.
Later in the day, the MP turned attention to social welfare, visiting communities such as Nkronso, Apapam, and Asikam to spend time with the elderly.
In each location, senior citizens were honoured with care packages consisting of a bag of rice, a crate of eggs, a full piece of cloth, and cash support.

The gesture highlighted a deliberate effort to recognise and appreciate the contributions of older generations within the constituency.
The Easter activities concluded on Sunday with worship and thanksgiving services in Maase, Odumase, and Aposs, where Dr. Agyemang joined congregants to reflect on the significance of the season and renew a shared sense of hope and purpose.
Across all the communities visited, the Easter programme conveyed a consistent message—leadership that remains visible, responsive, and grounded in service can have a direct and meaningful impact on people’s lives.
