The Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South, Kingsley Agyemang, has reaffirmed his commitment to educational development and STEM advancement within the constituency through a visit to former participants of the Kingsley Maths and Science Quiz (KSMQ), an academic initiative he founded to promote excellence in science and mathematics education.

The visit formed part of the MP’s ongoing engagement with brilliant students from Abuakwa South who continue to distinguish themselves academically after participating in the constituency-based competition.

The students — Foster Appiah, Cyril Kissi Yeboah, Julian Kwaku Adinkrah and Christian Ofori-Appiah Amoafo — are currently pursuing General Science at Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School and are regarded as part of a growing group of young talents emerging from the constituency through targeted academic interventions.

Dr. Agyemang used the occasion to encourage the students to remain disciplined, focused and committed to academic excellence, particularly in science and technology-related fields which he believes are critical to Ghana’s future development.

As part of the interaction, the MP presented the students with cash support and educational materials to assist them in their academic journey and motivate them to continue striving for higher achievement.

He commended the students for their dedication and determination, noting that their progress reflects the impact of sustained investment in education and youth development within Abuakwa South.

According to him, the future of Ghana depends heavily on young people who are prepared to lead with knowledge, innovation, discipline and integrity.

The Kingsley Maths and Science Quiz, which has become one of the constituency’s notable educational interventions, was established by Dr. Agyemang to stimulate interest in mathematics, science and analytical thinking among students at the basic and secondary levels.

Over the years, the initiative has created healthy academic competition among schools in the constituency while helping identify and nurture talented students for future opportunities in STEM-related careers.

Education has remained a major pillar of Dr. Agyemang’s development agenda since becoming Member of Parliament for Abuakwa South. Beyond the KSMQ initiative, he has rolled out several educational programmes including spelling competitions, readathon projects, debate contests, teacher support initiatives and tertiary scholarship schemes aimed at improving learning outcomes across the constituency.
