Ronaldo Storms White House, Meets Trump

Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned Portuguese footballer, met with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, during the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s official visit.

The meeting marked Ronaldo’s first return to the US in 12 years.

Donald Trump, who hosted the event, praised Ronaldo, saying, “My son is a big fan of Ronaldo… Barron got to meet him, and I think he respects his father a little bit more now, just the fact that I introduced you”.

Ronaldo, who plays for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, had expressed his desire to meet Trump, describing him as “one of the guys who can help to change the world”.

The meeting was part of a high-profile dinner, also attended by business leaders like Elon Musk and Tim Cook.

Ronaldo’s visit to the White House coincided with the Saudi Crown Prince’s efforts to deepen ties with the US and rehabilitate his global image.

Ronaldo, who has become a prominent figure in Saudi football, is expected to play a significant role in promoting the country’s sports initiatives.
