The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has announced the sudden passing of its Deputy Chief Executive, Dr. Dramani Bukari, describing his death as a major loss to the Authority, Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry and the many people who worked with him.
In a statement issued by the Board and Management of the NPA, the Authority expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr. Bukari and extended condolences to his family, loved ones, colleagues, and all others mourning his loss.
The NPA described Dr. Bukari as a valued member of its leadership whose sudden departure has left a significant void within the Authority at a time when the institution continues to play a critical role in regulating the downstream petroleum sector.
The announcement has also brought renewed attention to the contribution of senior professionals within the NPA, particularly those whose work supports the regulation, monitoring and development of the petroleum industry.
Expressing its grief, the Board and Management said it was deeply saddened by Dr. Bukari’s passing but drew comfort from the Islamic belief that human beings ultimately return to their Creator.
Quoting the Qur’an, the Authority stated: “Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return” (Qur’an 2:156).
The Authority called for strength and comfort for the bereaved family and all those affected by the loss, while praying for peace during the difficult period.
In its tribute, the NPA prayed that Almighty Allah grant Dr. Dramani Bukari eternal rest and asked for divine comfort for those mourning his death.
